About this Event
Stop the Silence: Unshattered is a powerful community awareness and support event focused on healing, empowerment, prevention, and connecting individuals and families with valuable community resources.
This free community event will bring together survivors, advocates, families, youth, professionals, and community leaders for a day centered on awareness, healing, support, and transformation. This event is designed to provide a welcoming, respectful, and trauma-informed environment for all attendees.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with onsite community partners and resource providers, including:
• Lakeshore Legal Aid
• Turning Point
• HAVEN
• Community Housing Network
• Sara’s House
• LIVE RITE Structured Recovery Corp.
• State of Michigan Office of Child Support
These organizations will be onsite offering information, resources, support services, and community connections for individuals and families.
This event will also include:
• Community resources and support services
• Giveaways, raffles, and prizes
• Food and refreshments
• Healing-centered conversations and activities
• Opportunities to connect with local organizations and advocates
Families are welcome, and this is intended to be a family-friendly community event. Children are invited to attend; however, we ask that all children attending be included in your RSVP registration. Free onsite parking is available.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to sign up onsite for WHEAT’s upcoming Back-to-School Event in August, including clothing assistance requests and additional community support resources.
