The campaign of total occupation of Gaza and the displacement of Palestinians is in full swing. For two years, the Palestinian people have resisted Israel’s deadly assaults heroically.
🕯️ As we approach the 2nd anniversary of the genocide in Gaza, thousands have been murdered, entire neighborhoods flattened, hospitals and schools bombed. Millions remain under siege, deprived of food, water, and medicine.
The EU and the Maltese government bear responsibility: while the recognition of a Palestinian state came too late and means little, Israel has already destroyed the lives, land and future of the Palestinian people. In Malta, two years of continuous mobilizations have shown that the vast majority of society does not accept complicity and silence.
Meanwhile, Palestine resists with dignity, and the global solidarity movement is growing stronger. Across the world, governments, municipalities, universities and civil society are breaking ties, imposing sanctions, and cutting cooperation with Israel. Even Israel’s closest allies have been forced to recognize Palestine—while ensuring there is almost nothing left to recognize.
⛵️ Today, more than 50 ships from 44 countries across 5 continents are joining the Global Sumud Flotilla to break the siege and open a humanitarian corridor. Israel sees the Flotilla as a threat precisely because the Flotilla’s mission is to break the siege on Gaza, and because it symbolizes the stance of the global majority against its crimes.
In recent weeks, the Flotilla has already faced drone attacks, sabotage, and threats of arrest and seizure of its ships. Israel’s leaders openly describe participants as “terrorists” and carry out naval drills to intimidate the mission. Spain, Ireland, Slovenia and others have warned that any attack on the Flotilla would be a blatant violation of international law.

• A total arms embargo and an end to all military cooperation
• Comprehensive sanctions (economic, academic, cultural, sports, etc.)
• An end to all cooperation with Israel until the occupation ends and justice is achieved
• Protection of the Global Sumud Flotilla and its humanitarian mission
