Kirtan is a traditional form of devotional music that originates from the Indian subcontinent, particularly within the Bhakti yoga tradition. It involves the call-and-response chanting or singing of sacred mantras, names of deities, or spiritual verses.
Kirtan is more than just music; it’s a meditative and communal practice that aims to elevate consciousness, foster a sense of unity, and create a deep spiritual connection among participants.
The repetition of mantras or divine names in kirtan is believed to purify the mind and open the heart, making it a powerful tool for spiritual growth and inner peace.
