National Stop the Bleed® course teaching hands-on bleeding control skills to help save lives in emergency situations.
About this Event

The Stop the Bleed® Course is a nationally recognized, in-person training designed to teach individuals how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action in an emergency.

This course provides hands-on instruction in bleeding control techniques, including direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Participants will learn how to respond confidently and effectively in real-world emergencies such as accidents, natural disasters, or violent incidents.

The course is led by Susan L. Smith, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, an experienced nurse practitioner and burn care specialist, and follows national Stop the Bleed® education guidelines.

This training is appropriate for healthcare professionals and non-medical participants alike and emphasizes rapid response, personal safety, and lifesaving action before emergency services arrive.
