About this Event
Join us for an evening of life-saving knowledge at the FBIDCAAA’s Stop the Bleed: Advanced First Aid Training Workshop.
In this workshop, you will learn to treat life-threatening injuries and manage severe trauma until professional help arrives. Whether it's a gunshot wound, a car accident, or injuries from high-risk activities like rock climbing or working with tools in the wilderness, this course will equip you with the skills to act confidently in emergencies.
The Class Will Cover:
- Treating various types of wounds (gunshots, punctures, severe cuts, venous and arterial bleeding, etc.)
- Proper techniques for applying hemostatic agents, pressure bandaging, and tourniquets
- Real-life scenarios such as injuries from camping accidents, car crashes, and high-risk sports
No medical background needed: This training is accessible for all, regardless of prior experience. A certified instructor will guide the session and ensure that by the end of the class, everyone feels confident in their ability to apply these life-saving techniques.
