On May 19th, Fayetteville City Council will be holding a public hearing on a zoning appeal of Killer AI Drone corporation Swarm Aero. Many technical arguments can and will be made on zoning, about chemical fumes and so forth, which is the immediate issue, and everyone is encouraged to make these.However, city code also explicitly states that business licenses can be revoked if a business adversely affects the "peace, health or safety" of local residents. Many arguments can also be made that Swarm's license should be revoked on these grounds.
The City Council meeting begins at 5:30 PM, so we are asking everyone to show up at 5 PM, 30 minutes prior to the meeting to protest & demonstrate opposition to Swarm. We are also asking everyone to email the Mayor and City Council to express opposition.
