A virtual training session for new and existing stop smoking practitioners in Swindon
About this Event

This training is for staff in Swindon to deliver a free stop smoking service, compliant with the National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training (NCSCT) standard treatment programme. Clinical supervision will be the responsibility of the employing organisation.

You must have completed the online NCSCT Stop Smoking Practitioner module prior to the course and e-mailed the certificate to us. The training can be found here: https://elearning.ncsct.co.uk/england. Please note that this online training typically takes people between 4 and 7 hours to complete. If the assessment is not passed you are required to wait 3 days before re-taking to allow time to revisit the course content.

This virtual session is free of charge for those who will be delivering a free stop smoking service in Swindon. It includes guidance to deliver a stop smoking service and will build on the knowledge gained from completing the NCSCT Stop Smoking Practitioner Training.

Please note that in order to become a stop smoking practitioner as part of a recognised stop smoking service in Swindon, you will need to have completed both the NCSCT online training and attended this virtual event.

A link will be sent out closer to the time of the session so make sure the email address you have provided is accessed before the session. All attendees are encouraged to use video call facilities to join to improve the interactive nature of the training.
