On March 19 the Douglas County Board will be discussing the use of the County Jail by ICE to hold detainees. We're inviting folks to gather in front of the Courthouse from 5 to 6pm for a sign holding protest, and then to attend the 6pm County Board meeting inside. There will be a public comment period that we encourage people to use to speak out in favor of the jail severing its relationship with ICE. https://www.douglascountywi.gov/calendar.aspx?view=list&year=2026&month=3&day=19This mobilization is open to everyone who is opposed to ICE's use of the County jail ~ it's not the property of any one group. We welcome any and all groups and individuals who agree with this to plug in and take ownership of this campaign. DM us if your organization would like to formally endorse this action. Lets unite to remove this stain in our community!
