About this Event
Join us for a hands-on, fun “Stop Frame Animation Workshop” with Southern Tablelands Arts and led by Hilltops filmmaker Kev Greaves, and discover just how much fun you can have bringing everyday objects to life.
In this creative session, you’ll learn the basics of stop frame animation, the magical technique behind some of your favourite animated movies and online shorts. Kev will guide you step-by?step through the process, showing you how tiny movements can turn plasticine, LEGO, toys, drawings or random objects into characters bursting with personality.
You’ll explore how to build a simple story and add action to your mini movie and the only limit is your imagination.
No experience? No worries! This workshop is designed for beginners and curious creatives alike. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your very own short, animated films and your finished movies will be showcased on the Southern Tablelands Arts website, so friends, family and the whole community can see your creation on screen.
If you love movies, storytelling, or just making cool things with your hands, this is your chance to press play on your creativity and become an animator for the day.
