About this Event
Join us for this month's Stone Soup Community Circle!
This circle will be held in the downstairs community room at Tandem Squared Rolled Ice Cream and Coffee Cafe in Old Town Fort Collins, as we celebrate community spaces to continue our spiritual endeavors.
*Circle will be an inclusive, supportive, non-judgmental place in order to practice the high sensation of being seen. All are welcome and all expressions will be celebrated!
Welcome to 2026! Our first Stone Soup Community Circle of the new year! And quite a year it's shaping up to be already.
On January 19th, the Sun joins Pluto and Venus already sailing through the fixed air sign of Aquarius, soon to be followed by Mercury, then Mars. Fixed Air energy pours intellectual, spiritual, and energetic wisdom into the collective consciousness. All of this planetary influence in Aquarius helps us to move beyond old paradigms and invites us to explore new ways of being, living, and expressing ourselves.
Aquarius truly is about individual freedom and agency above all else. This season asks of us- what values hold true, and what have we outgrown? What are we ready to shift and what personal responsibilities do we have to create meaningful contribution to ourselves and our community? Embracing your unique quirks and individuality will always align you to your highest good. In this last stretch of winter, we can sit with these questions, what versions of ourselves are we ready to release and who do we want to become in this emerging world?
This month's circle arrives just before the Leo Full Moon on February 1st, and the Pagan holiday Imbolc on February 2nd, with both events contributing their fiery energy and encouraging us to follow our inspirations through the end of the dark season. On Imbolc, we honor the Goddess Brigid, patron Saint of Stone Soup! Brigid/Brighid/Brigit is a multifaceted Celtic Goddess of poetry, smithing, healing, midwifery, animals, cooking/the hearth, fire, and spring. We honor all of the nourishment she facilitates for our community. <3
Before our next circle, on February 17th, our Lunar Year shifts as we release the Year of the Wood Snake, and welcome in Year of the Fire Horse! We rise with confidence! This transition promises to bring boldness, rapid movement, and unpredictable energy. We need to find ways to stay grounded amidst our inner urgency to act, create, and realign. Grounding with our Stone Soup community will help us stay inspired to divine action.
So what can we do? Find our individual voices and follow our hearts. Seek out the whispering threads of desire that light up body and soul. Don't be afraid of standing out from the crowd. Share your deepest expressions of self- in community!
Stone Soup Community Circles offer the perfect opportunity to celebrate the shining truths in each of us. <3
Here's how it works:
Each month will have a different theme, based on the above astrological weather.
Come to circle prepared to share something with the group- it can be anything- a poem you wrote, piece of artwork, a craft, baked treats, homemade incense, oracle cards, a meditation, a dream, a story, psychic synchronicities, dance, movement, breathwork, teas, tinctures, wear a costume- literally ANYTHING that your heart wants to express, related to the Astro weather. Then, you vulnerably share this in our circle. Everyone gets a chance to contribute their own "ingredient," so each circle will be different, every circle will be fun!
(**Note, we are not making literal soup. Usually. :))
We know- it's incredibly scary to put yourself out there and share part of your innermost self. The high sensations that come with showing up this way are part of the medicine- part of the magick we will create together! This is how you manifest your desires. Face your fears, and do it anyway!
(Disclaimer: We understand that you may not be ready/able to prepare and share EVERY circle. Sometimes it's appropriate to show up and say "All I have to contribute today is my presence and my witnessing." But still show up! If it becomes a habit and people are consistently showing up without contributing, admins will gently reach out with encouragement to participate greater.)
Schedule:
5:30- 5:45pm: Greetings, social time, grab a coffee or treat, head downstairs.
5:45-7:15pm: Set ritual space, circle shares.
7:15-7:30pm: Connections, goodbyes.
Cost: Free! $5 donation suggested to help pay for our space, but if the cost is prohibitive- don't let it stop you, PLEASE come anyway!
This month's venue: Tandem Squared Rolled Ice Cream and Coffee Cafe offers delicious rolled ice cream creations, coffee drinks, and baked goods. Grab something yummy and head downstairs to the community space for our circle. Tandem Squared is woman disability owned, focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
