About this Event
Some areas of London seem to be veritable hot spots for ghostly encounters. This walk explores one such place – Stoke Newington – to consider how the past seems to continue into the present in ways we are yet to understand. The ghost stories we will tell - some older, many more recent - will be placed into the context of theories of the paranormal and the history of Stoke Newington's sites, buildings and past residents.
The walk, which takes approx. 2 hours (give or take), meanders from Stoke Newington Fire Station, weaving up Stoke Newington Church Street to end at the Medieval St Mary's Old Churchyard.
I walk in (almost) all weathers, so please come prepared! The terrain is mostly flat, with a few uneven and dark surfaces, some steps and a few busy roads to cross. I take a max.15 people on each walk. Recommended age: 15+.
Meet me in front of the Fire Station on Stoke Newington Church Street (between Fleetwood Street and Abney Park Cemetery, see pic below).

I look forward to walking with you!
