On June 20, the PCSDRA Foundational Circuit Season Opener rides into the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards for a sanctioned Dance Rodeo at Lil Red’s Longhorn Saloon, 121 W Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, Texas.
For some competitors, this will be their first step into the arena. For others, it will be another chapter in a journey that leads from Emerging to Advancement and, one day, toward the Professional Circuit. Every Dance Rodeo Cowboy and Cowgirl starts somewhere, and for many, that road begins right here.
The afternoon will feature the Long Go Round, where competitors take their shot and fight for position through multiple dances and the pressure of sanctioned competition. Then later that night, under the lights and in front of the crowd, the top couples return for the Short Go Finals where champions will be decided.
This is not choreography. This is not ballroom. This is Cowboy Social Dancing in a real Texas honky tonk under real dance floor conditions.
