About this Event
My Friends and I, in partnership with the Department of Futuremaking, are hosting the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace’s Disaster Dollar Database in St. Louis for an in-person presentation and workshop. The session will be a deep dive into disaster relief data, federal and national natural disaster funding trends, case studies from similarly sized recoveries, and potential paths forward for federal tornado relief funding following last year’s May 16th tornado.
This event is open to the public and will be held at 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis on Wednesday, April 22 at 6:30PM, and will include a presentation on the national disaster recovery landscape followed by a Q&A. The presentation will be led by Cami Thomas (My Friends and I) and Sarah Labowitz (Disaster Dollar Database).
Thank you to 21c Museum Hotel St. Louis, Department of Futuremaking, and the Benton Park Neighborhood Association for their partnership in hosting this event.
