Save the date! March 24, 2025!Folks, we have an experienced, talented, and charismatic tango dancer visiting San Diego soon and offering instruction! Our own, Lilu, will be hosting him and coordinating privates and logistics for his workshop, to take place on Monday, March 24 at 7:30 pm, followed by a guided two-hour practica at the Centro Cultural de La Raza.
Stiwar Calle is a choreographer and tango maestro with over 10 years of experience. A graduate of Bogotá’s Superior School of Arts (ASAB), he has raised his profile, trained and danced with the best tango dancers in the world, and is a popular and sought-after performer and instructor! Among his accomplishments:
🏆 *National tango de pista champion in Manizales, Colombia (2018-2024)*
🏆 *Winner at International Tango Championship in Medellín (2024) – Tango de pista & Milonga*
🌎 * Finalist in World Cup Tango Championship (2019-2024) – Buenos Aires, Argentina.
