Step into an afternoon of history, storytelling, creativity, and conversation at the Howard County BLK Author Expo with a special featured mini-event honoring Edith Younger Edmunds, 100-year-old quilter, historian, and best-selling author.

“Stitched in History: Quilts, Codes & Conversation” is an intimate afternoon tea experience exploring the rich cultural legacy of quilting and its connection to African American history, storytelling traditions, and the Underground Railroad.

Guests will enjoy engaging discussion, historical insight, refreshments, and an opportunity to hear directly from Edith Younger Edmunds as she shares her journey, inspiration, and the significance of quilts as both artistic expression and historical communication.

This featured event will also highlight her books:
