The Great Outdoors
Youth leaders discuss The Brickline Greenway with Great Rivers Greenway!
"Picture a community space that transcends boundaries – a vibrant, open and welcoming network of paths and places that invite discovery and exploration while creating equitable opportunities for everyone to thrive. A visionary project shaped from the voices of the people who will use it each and every day. This is the Brickline Greenway."
Guests include Emma Klues and Shaughnessy Daniels!
Emma Klues has been with Great Rivers Greenway since early 2014, currently serving as the Vice President of Communications & Outreach. She and the rest of her team oversee all internal and external communication, marketing, outreach, volunteering, programs and events. The goal is to tell the St. Louis region about the greenways, listen to ideas and concerns from community members and create ways for people to live life outside. Emma completed the Leadership St. Louis program in 2017 through the FOCUS St. Louis organization and was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the 2019 40 Under 40 honorees. Previously, Emma worked for several nonprofit organizations such as Forest ReLeaf of Missouri, StudioSTL and St. Louis Artworks before switching to serve as an Account Executive at Elasticity, a digital marketing firm. Her Bachelors of Science in Advertising and minor in Environmental Studies is from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She loves being outside, leading laughter yoga, eating at local restaurants and giving back to her community.
Shaughnessy Daniels is the Director of Civic Engagement at Great Rivers Greenway where she leads the agency’s efforts to gather input that guides planning and implementation for greenway projects. Prior to joining Great Rivers Greenway Shaughnessy served as Vice President of Community Supports at St. Louis Arc, a local non-profit that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and Vice President at Urban Strategies Inc., a national non-profit that provides social and economic supports families affected by broad-scale community redevelopment.
