Stitch & Print: Hand Embroidery on Photographs
A 4-Hour Workshop with Amanda McCavour in Partnership with Canon
Workshop Description
Transform your favorite photographs into one-of-a-kind textile art! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to combine the precision of Canon printing technology with the tactile beauty of hand embroidery to create stunning mixed-media pieces.
Students will begin by submitting their own digital images to be printed on high-quality Canon photo paper. Once your prints are ready, you'll discover how to use colorful embroidery floss and simple stitching techniques to add dimension, texture, and personal expression to your photographs. Whether you're embellishing a landscape with stitched wildflowers, adding dreamy details to a portrait, or emphasizing textures in a close-up shot, this workshop will give you the skills and confidence to transform any photograph into a unique work of art.
