About this Event
Join us for an exploration of "Stillness in Motion" with Penarth Lens Friends and Tai Chi Instructor Christie Butterick. With over 30 years of experience in Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, Acupressure, meditation, and relaxation techniques, Christie uses movement as a form of awareness, meditation, and healing.
In this session, we will discuss how Tai Chi serves as a visual metaphor for balance and harmony, viewed through the lenses of photography and art. Participants will engage in simple Tai Chi movements that emphasize grounding and mindfulness. We'll focus on observing light, sound, and movement, which will enhance our ability to capture mindful moments as photographers. Additionally, we will photograph a few favourite Tai Chi poses within the gallery space.
