Pocket Bonds
Join artist Lizzie McLoughlin for a gentle, hands-on workshop where we’ll quietly celebrate the lasting connection between parents and their babies. During pregnancy, a little bit of you stays with your baby and a little bit of your baby stays with you. It’s a quiet comforting reminder that the bond you share is always present, living on in your heart and mind.
We’ll spend time making small, comforting pocket-sized keepsakes using felt, thread, and beads. Whether yours looks like a heart, a cell, a swirl of DNA, or a cord, it’s a soft token to hold close – an gentle reminder of the bond that never fades.
Delivered in partnership with Manchester Sands, our workshops are attended by Manchester Sands befrienders and our own Still Parents volunteers, who are all fellow bereaved parents, both are there to talk should you need a little extra support.
No experience needed.
All materials are provided, and there’ll be plenty of tea, coffee, and cake to keep things cosy.
For those who have experienced the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy or just after birth, in any circumstance and at any time.
New faces are always welcome and you’re free to join in at your own pace.
