This free program for high school students features rotating events along our 600-mile range exploring various realms of conservation.
About this Event

Join Cafe Ohlone, Hog Island Oyster Co., and The Marine Mammal Center as we explore oysters and their connections to humans and marine mammals. During this event we will be learning about marine mammals in the area, taking a walk to learn about Ohlone culture, and tasting some sustainably grown oysters from Tomales Bay. By the end of the event, we hope you’ll leave with increased knowledge of the crucial role oysters have played and continue to play in the Bay Area, and will have some goals for the next steps you can take on your conservation journey.

Stewardship Saturday events vary in levels of physical and mental exertion. Please review the entire event description, including accessibility notes, to ensure this event meets your expectations.

We can sign for Community Service hours if you need us to!
