This program takes place at our French Quarter Visitor Center - 419 Decatur St, New Orleans, LA 70130. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first served basis.Steve Pistorius is a pianist who creates joyful and swinging renditions of oft-neglected rags, waltzes, marches, pop tunes, blues and stomps, whether he’s playing solo or leading a band. The New Orleans native has toured the world with his own band and with notable bandleaders such as Duke Heitger, Dr. Michael White, and Orange Kellin, and at home can be found performing at venues ranging from classy nightclubs to the riverboats. Pistorius played with early 20th century jazz legends like Chester Zardis, Willie Humphrey, Louis Barbarin, and composer Eubie Blake, and brings their influences and his own authenticity to the stage.
