Get ready for a truly soulful evening of smooth grooves, heartfelt vocals, and unforgettable vibes in one of the city’s coziest venues, right on Music Mile. Curated by Juno Award Winner Scott Morin, each Soul at the Attic show features a rotating lineup of top-tier local and touring musicians, blending their own take on soulful music with fresh, inspired performances.
This series is meant to give Calgary's huge audience of soulful music fans a chance to hear specially-curated concerts and ensembles that you will not hear anywhere else. Each Soul at the Attic show is an experience filling the wide range of genres and influences that fall under the soulful music umbrella, married with a venue offering specially created cocktails and an incredible menu of pizza and pasta.

STEVE PINEO AND LAURA JACKSON
Steve Pineo has been a mainstay in Calgary’s Blues & Roots music scene for more than 40 years. Wickedly talented in playing, singing and composing, Steve has appeared in dozens of musical permutations and combinations in his legendary career.
Themed productions like the Prohibition Era show, the Elvis tribute and The Steve Pineo Annual Christmas Show are the cake, icing and cherry on top of Steve’s list of accomplishments.
Laura Jackson had the good fortune to join Steve several decades ago playing jazzy pop and Steve’s fabulous originals at Mona’s Kitchen, Cannery Row, Kaos Cafe and The Wine Cellar. Laura has been a part of the aforementioned Steve Pineo Annual Christmas Show for 20 years running.
Now blending their individual musical pasts and their shared history with a new focus on contemporary Roots and soulful Americana/Canadiana, their music and friendship has come full circle.
Joining Steve and Laura is Chris Brzezicki on bass and Mike Doerksen on the fiddle, rounding out the quartet and bringing colour and soul to the music.
