Steps & Stories is a chance to discover the joy of audiobooks through Newcastle Libraries' Reading for Wellbeing Team's new audiobook walks
About this Event

Take an easy hour-long walk by the River Tyne at Newburn. You can enjoy nature and listen to an audiobook. At the end, you can chat about the book you listened to and share your thoughts.

The walk will start and end at Newburn Library at 10:30 am. You can have a cup of tea or coffee there, and there are toilets you can use.

The path has some tarmacked areas and some gravel, so it might not be suitable for wheelchair users or people with prams.

The walk is free, and there’s no cost to join in. Tablets with audiobooks are available if you don’t have your own device. Helpers are also on hand to show you how to use the Libraries Borrow Box app for more audiobooks.
