JUNE 4- The Step It Up Finale!
We welcome you to our Step It Up Final Showcase to be held at the United Palace Thater on June 4th, 2026! The top 10 finalist teams will be performing and competing for our grand prizes. This is an event hosted by the Department of Youth and Community Development.
Summary
Step It Up NYC provides young movement artists the opportunity to leverage their on-stage talents to create social change in their communities. Over 1,000 young performers participated in the citywide dance and step for a cause competition. Throughout the course of the school year, teams competed in qualifying rounds with both stage performances and community service activities. On June 4th the top 10 teams will perform at the final showcase.
Step It Up NYC is not just a dance competition, but a social impact campaign. Don't miss out on this exciting display of artistry and creativity as NYC youth perform interprative routines to highlight social impact campaigns that each team has activated in their communities.
