STEM Day for Kids is back!We are pleased to announce the next STEM Day for Kids with our new instructor, Dr. Rachel Vykukal! Are your little ones interested in doing fun experiments and diving into the fascinating world of science?
Then come join us for our next STEM workshop on April 7th from 4:00-5:00pm!
In this session, we will be learning about “invisible” ancient food and doing some easy chemistry through an experiment with M&Ms and Skittles!
Dr. Rachel Vykukal is an American archaeologist at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg who specializes in food of the ancient Romans and Greeks. She combines chemistry and archaeology to identify foodstuffs trapped in pottery from the cooking of meals to understand diet, culinary practices, and pottery use. She loves sharing how science can help us uncover the past and reconstruct important aspects of people’s everyday lives from thousands
The workshop is aimed at children ages 6 and up and costs 3€ per child. Registration is required via [email protected].
