STEM Achievers @ Gillette College is a free summer program designed for middle school students who are curious about how technology works and how it connects to future careers. Hosted on the Gillette College main campus, the program provides students with a safe, supportive environment where they can explore science, engineering, and technology through hands-on activities.Throughout the program, students will participate in engaging projects that introduce them to areas such as coding, robotics, virtual reality, and design and fabrication technologies. Students will even have the opportunity to pilot and code drones while learning the fundamentals of flight, navigation, and responsible drone operation. These experiences help students develop important skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking while giving them exposure to tools and technologies used in real-world industries.
Students will learn directly from experienced instructors and mentors while collaborating with other middle school students who share similar interests. The goal is not only to build technical skills, but also to help students gain confidence, discover new interests, and see themselves as future innovators.
The program runs June 1–18, 2026, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and takes place in person on the Gillette College campus. The program is free to all middle school students, inclusive to all genders, and lunch is provided each day.
STEM Achievers is a great opportunity for students to experience college environments, explore new technologies, and begin thinking about the exciting possibilities that STEM careers can offer.
