For our LAST regular monthly dance of the 2025-26 season, we are mixing it up and inviting YOU to play the tunes! Do you play old-time music? Does maybe playing a whole dance sound stressful but 2-3 tunes sound like fun? Have you always wondered what it'd be like to play for a dance? Well now's your chance!You can form your own band or sign up individually and we will build bands from the folks available. Instruments welcome include fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and bass; please contact us with any questions.
Monetary compensation is not guaranteed due to the large number of participants possible; this is intended to be an opportunity to strengthen our community and provide a space for younger and/or newer musicians to gain experience in a dance band in a safe and welcoming environment.
Please let us know if you're interested via FB or IG message or email ([email protected]) with your name, contact info, preferred instrument(s), level of experience with old-time, and names of anyone else you would like to play with (optional).

7-8pm - Doors + potluck starts + open old-time jam
8-11pm - Dance

Beginner- and family-friendly!
All dances are traditional Appalachian squares with a live band and caller. Dances are taught and all are welcome. No experience necessary!
Bring your own drinks, inc. water, and something for the potluck if you'd like.
There will be an open old-time jam before the dance from 7-8 so feel free to come early and bring instruments or just listen!
$15 suggested donation at the door to cover the cost of the space and pay our musicians and caller. No one will be turned away for lack of funds! Children 12 & under are free.
