Steel City Leadership™ Cohort Graduation Ceremony

Join us as we celebrate the completion of the inaugural Steel City Leadership Cohort™, a leadership and workforce development program designed to support small businesses in Birmingham.

Powered by the City of Birmingham and facilitated by People Optimum Consulting, the program brought together local companies to strengthen leadership practices, implement workforce systems, and build stronger organizations that support both employees and business growth.

Over the course of the program, participating companies engaged in a leadership retreat, interactive leadership labs, and coaching sessions focused on practical strategies for recruiting, developing, and retaining employees.

This graduation event will recognize the companies that completed the program and highlight the impact of their commitment to building stronger workplaces.

The program represents 37 Birmingham employees across three participating companies, each of which is committed to adopting workforce lifecycle practices introduced through the cohort.

We invite community partners, business leaders, and supporters of Birmingham’s small business ecosystem to join us in celebrating the accomplishments of this cohort.
