Welcome to the lab!
In this hands-on STEAM space science workshop for ages 11-14, students will explore real-world science and engineering concepts by building, testing, and experimenting with the LEGO Education Science kit designed for middle school learners interested in astronomy and space exploration.
Over three days, attendants will think like space scientists and engineers as they tackle challenges involving motion, forces and problem-solving through guided builds and open-ended experimentation. Exciting and interesting technical activities keep every scientist engaged and immersed during this 3-hour program.
Campers will:
🔬 Build models that demonstrate real scientific principles
⚙️ Explore concepts like force, motion, and simple machines
🧠 Test ideas, make improvements, and learn through experimentation
🛠️ Solve engineering challenges individually and in teams
📊 Observe, predict, and analyze results like real scientists
Each day combines group and individual structured activities with creative problem-solving; encouraging campers to work together and promoting curiosity, confidence and critical thinking.
This camp is perfect for more advanced curious minds who love to build, test, and figure out how things work!
No prior experience needed — just bring your curiousity and your love of building and experimenting with LEGO products!
