Working alongside the festival organisers, as well as a special collaboration with the Central Hawkes Bay Cancer Society - we are pleased to be bringing you 'Steam in the Bay' between the 14 - 16th February 2025. Thursday 13th February
Steam in the Bay - Arrive in Style
Kapiti to Hawkes Bay by Train, choose to board at Paraparaumu, Levin, Palmerston North or Waipukurau. Fares start at $129pp
Friday 14th February
Hastings Huff & Puff (ex. Napier)
Napier Steam Express (ex. Hastings)
Selection of short family train rides available between Napier & Hastings, boarding available at either station Times vary, first train depart's Napier 9:30am, last train departs at 4:45pm. GA Tickets start at $35, with a Family Pass (4) totalling $120.
Saturday 15th February
The Woodville Wanderer
Collab with the Cancer Society in aid of Cancer Awareness & Support. Options to travel all the way to Woodville from Napier or Hastings, or disembark at Waipukurau and immerse yourself in the Central Hawkes Bay market. Opportunities also available for Central Hawkes Bay Locals to travel from Waipukurau to Woodville & return. Train departs Napier at 7:40am, arriving back at 5pm. Adult & Child fares available & start at $139 Adult, and $109 Child.
Sunday 16th February
Hastings Huff & Puff
Departing Napier at 12:15pm with a 2hr layover in Hastings, returning at 3:50pm. GA Tickets start at $35, with a Family Pass (4) totalling $120.
Opapa Steam Express
Departing Hastings at 1:10pm, heading to Opapa and returning to Hastings at 3pm. GA Tickets start at $25, with a Family Pass (4) totalling $90.
Hawkes Bay Steam & Cuisine
Departing Napier 4pm, heading to Otane where you will disembark to Otane's beautifully restored town hall for a freshly served meal, before returning to home at 9:20pm. Fares: Single - $159 | Pair - $249 (including meal & train travel)
