About this Event
Teens and young adults, ages 14-21 are invited to join us to engage in 4 weeks (11/1, 11/8, 11/15 & 11/22) of interactive workshops that will teach the basic skills needed to become a successful construction contractor!
The curriculum will include:
*Tiling
*Drywall Installation & Muding
*Wiring
*Plumbing
Thanks to generous donations from SBB, IECA and Albert J. Pick Jr Fund, we are able to offer this interactive academy!
In order to participate, we ask that each participant commit to attend all 4 Saturdays.
In order to attend, a parent/guardian or participant will have to agree to our 2 waivers:
-Pictures & videos will be taken during our STEAM & Trades Academy- Construction Edition. In order for your child/you to participate, you must agree to our photography/videography waiver: I understand that The Brown House Experience, Simple Makeovers Home Remodeling, IECA and TBHE affiliates may use the images in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.
-The STEAM & Trades Academy- Construction Edition will be interactive, which includes using certain nail supplies and products. In order to participate, you must agree to the following waiver: I waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my child's death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to my child including traveling to and from the TBHE STEAM & Trades Academy.
