Technology is advancing rapidly, but innovation also brings challenges like online fraud and cybercrime. Learn more from a cyber expert.
About this Event

There is no question that technology is advancing in leaps and bounds. Think interconnected social networks, Smart TVs/appliances, “always on” mobile technology available to us in our phones and cars, and of course, Artificial Intelligence or AI.

The resulting convenience, capability, and innovation also has a darker side in the form of online fraud and cyber crime. Charles Boname closely follows the evolving cyber fraud space and the tactics employed by threat actors to advance their criminal activities.

In a short 30-minute presentation, Charles will summarize the evolving threat landscape and share some tips to help you avoid becoming a victim of cyber crime. Time for questions and clarification will follow.

This is especially geared toward seniors and those who may feel less confident with technology. However, as the topics include recognizing phishing emails, suspicious text messages, and how to handle fraudulent phone calls, it will be relevant to all…

Light refreshments will be served.

A free community event.
