Start the year off on the right (or left foot - your preference) with Stay Strong, Stay Healthy, Level 1. Participants begin this 8-week exercise program with a pre-test to help them learn the ability they are starting off with. Each week, the same exercises are performed and participants gradually add weights as they get stronger. At the end of the 8-week session, participants take a post-test to see the progress that they made. This is best for people who are just getting back into exercising, who have mobility issues, or who want a consistent workout program to start the year off to a healthy start.This program is provided by the Andrew County MU Extension and it is made free due to a grant that they received. Participants must be 65 to qualify for the free class. These sessions meet on Monday's and Friday's from January 7 - February 27, 2026 at the Joyce Raye Patterson 50+ Activity Center, 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO 64501.
