During this festival hosted by the Pitt State Music Department for the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), the bands perform at the Bicknell Center for the Arts and the choirs perform in the Sharon Kay Dean recital hall in McCray Hall.These events are open to the public, but they are not concerts - they are performances in which student groups are critiqued and scored by adjudicators.
Friends and family are welcome to attend but should be in their seats prior to the music starting. The doors will close and it's critical that there are no distractions while they're being judged.
If you bring small children, please sit near the exit door for a quick exit if the child becomes fussy. Applause at the end of each piece is still acceptable.
