Course Description: Learn to paint portraits using contemporary methods including painting form, value, color zones, and contrast with different modern color palettes. This class begins with easy-to-follow, fun ways to sketch with paint before going in for modeled detail. We will be looking at famous Artists’ work who took portrait painting to new levels including Egon Schiele, Alice Neel, Kehinde Wiley, B. Shawn Cox, Mark Tennant, Mark Ryden (Godfather of Pop Surrealism), Sandra Chevrier, and more!

Leslie holds a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and an A.A.S. in Video Game Art from A.C.C.
