About this Event
Come start at the very beginning of soap-making (the very best place to start, so I hear) by making simple melt & pour soap bars! Choose your scent, color and mold (including a selection of nerdy-themed molds.) All materials are included in the class fee.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and requires masks, which are provided.
This event is ticketed on a sliding scale. Consider using this guide to decide what to contribute:
$0 - Your housing is substandard or unstable. It is a struggle to meet your regular needs. Your debt is a source of anxiety for you. You almost never travel or take time off from your day-to-day responsibilities. You have recently experienced a major life disruption, such as incarceration, health issues, or death of a loved one.
$5 - Your housing situation is stable, but you do not own property. You live paycheck-to-paycheck or the equivalent. Your basic needs are almost always met, but there is little left over for personal purchases. You expect to pay off your existing debt in your lifetime. You have a source of regular income but either no or insufficient benefits. You travel or take time off about once per year.
$15 - Your housing situation is both stable and comfortable. You may own or rent your home and it is comfortably within your budget. You don’t worry about meeting your needs. You have some debt but it is not major source of anxiety. You have a reliable source of income and benefits that meet your needs, but unexpected circumstances such as layoffs could impact your income. You take time off or travel between twice a year.
$25 - You own your home, and may own additional property as well. Your home is only one of your financial assets. Your income and benefits exceed your needs and allow you to make personal purchases easily. You either do not have debt, or your debt is a financial asset. You are in a position to help support your friends and loved ones. You have a retirement plan with a project retirement date, or you are comfortably retired. You take time off or travel more than twice per year.
