On Sunday Dec. 14th, Machinery Hill- a band known for their unusual instrumentation and musical sense of humor- will be performing a special Hanukkah show at Torg Brewery featuring most Klezmer songs known to humankind- and a few that are not. At the insistence of the management, the musicians have agreed NOT to bring an oboe but could not be talked out of including accordion, banjo-uke and bass clarinet in some of their tunes. They have agreed to play them quietly for the safety of the audience.Winner of 2 Minnesota Awards and featured in episode #226 of the Twin Cities PublicTV series MN Original, the band has been active since 1985!
OK, maybe not as active as 1985, but still remarkably spry!
