Registration information:
$50 per person (includes one division and t-shirt).
Additional $10 fee for an additional event (two non-moneyball event signups would cost $60 in total).
Each “moneyball” division costs $50 per person to contribute to the prize money
(if signing up for both gender moneyball and mixed moneyball, it would cost $100 in total).
Format:
Divisions offered include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and Moneyball.
Round robin play to determine medals for 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0.
Moneyball divisions will use round robin as well unless participant numbers reach eight or more teams.
Scoring will depend on registration size, but if you are playing five or more teams, it will be one game to 15 (win by 2). Four or less will utilize best 2 out of 3 to 11 (win by 2).
Scheduling:
Men’s/women’s doubles will take place during session 1 (morning – starting at 8am).
Staggered start times in an attempt to make divisions run more efficiently instead of all divisions starting at 8am.
Mixed doubles will take place during session 2 (afternoon – starting at 2pm).
Each division’s start times will be predicated on amount of teams per division.
Moneyball payout:
Anyone can register for the moneyball division. The payouts will be…
1st place: $200 per team.
2nd place: $150 per team.
3rd place: $100 per team.
If the moneyball division registration number forces us to create two groupings, the top two teams from each pool will be bracketed into a four-team single elimination bracket (two semifinals).
Flexibility:
If divisions are small enough, we have the ability to either combine skill groupings or have each team play one another twice.
More cemented details regarding start times and scoring will be sent out the week leading up to tournament day.
