Join us for history in the making! On June 14th, The Mill hosts the 1st Annual Stars & Stripes Music Festival. We are coming together to honor WWII Veteran Nathan Poteet and raise vital funds for St. Louis Honor Flight. For just $40, you get a full day of food, fun, and a star-studded lineup of musical legends.
The Stars & Stripes Music Festival features a massive lineup including K-SHE favorite Mark Klose and his band, Steve Scorfina, Scott & Mechelle, Denny Potthast, The Schwag, and more! All of this for only $40.00. Amazing music, great food, and a chance to give back to our local heroes via St. Louis Honor Flight.
This event is being produced by TEAGUE ENTERTAINMENT. They will be producing more shows at The Mill in the future.

The Schwag is a band of musicians dedicated to carrying on the vibe and music of the Grateful Dead. Founded in 1990, The Schwag has performed over 4000 concerts all over the United States. This group has a working song list of over 200 songs from the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band catalog. The Schwag has had the privilege of playing with a long list of legendary musicians over the years. For a span of four years, band leader Jimmy Tebeau toured the country as the bass player for Melvin Seals & JGB (Jerry Garcia Band). The Schwag has opened for many notable acts including String Cheese Incident, Marshall Tucker Band, Leftover Salmon, Sammy Hagar, Little Feat, and Railroad Earth. Some of the guest musicians that have played with The Schwag over the years include Chuck Berry, Bill Nershi from String Cheese Incident, Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman from Leftover Salmon, Butch Trucks from The Allman Brothers Band, Fred Tacket from Little Feat, Mike Gordon from Phish, Doug Wimbish of Living Colour, and Vince Welnick from The Grateful Dead. Honorary band members for full Schwag shows include Merl Saunders, Melvin Seals, Johnnie Johnson, Jason & Travis & Kang from String Cheese Incident, and Devon Allman (Gregg’s son.) For many years, The Schwag has hosted its own “Schwagstock” music festivals, drawing crowds of thousands together several times per summer to enjoy shows from acts such as George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Keller Williams, Big Brother & the Holding Company, New Riders of the Purple Sage, and yes, The Schwag. The band is still together after all these years performing a different show every night of high energy organic interpretations of the Grateful Dead’s music.

St. Louis-based musician Steve Ewing is best known as the golden voice behind the seven piece powerhouse The Urge. Formed in high school back in late 80’s, The Urge took their eclectic mix of punk, reggae, hip hop, and ska, and sent a sonic shockwave from the Midwest that can still be felt to this day. Since The Urge, Steve has been involved in a multitude of projects including production work for artists such as Lojic, Egress, and many others. However, the passion still lies in performing and he tears it up onstage every chance he gets. You can find him performing across the country with The Urge, the Steve Ewing Band, the Steve Ewing Duo, and Master Blaster.

Frankie Muriel began his music career in St. Louis, initially performing with a band called Broken Toyz. He gained significant recognition as the frontman for King of the Hill, a glam-metal band that achieved success in the early 1990s. Their music received airplay on MTV and charted on Billboard, marking a high point in Muriel’s early career. After the decline of glam metal with the rise of grunge, Muriel transitioned to fronting Dr. Zhivegas, a disco-rock cover band. This band became one of the Midwest’s most popular acts, performing over 200 shows a year and achieving a loyal following. Dr. Zhivegas is known for its energetic performances and has played in various venues, including Las Vegas. In recent years, Muriel has embarked on a solo career. He has released a debut solo album titled “I’m Still Standing,” with the first single, “Those Were The Nights.” Muriel is known for his ability to produce, record, and perform all tracks on his projects, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

Steve is a guitar player, singer, and songwriter who has been a band member of the groups REO SPEEDWAGON and PAVLOV’S DOG. He has also performed in bands with MICHAEL MCDONALD of the Doobie Brothers. Steve will be performing with The Schwag band backing him up for this show on June 14.
