Flunk Cancer's 6th Annual Holiday New Years Eve Gala is one of the primary fundraising events for Flunk Cancer; a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to help provide support to teachers, school administrators, and their families who have been affected by cancer. The foundation was established in 2017 and honors the life of Shannon Barry-McHone, a Wilmington School Teacher who passed away in 2019 from Glioblastoma. Shannon was loved by all and lived a life full of spirit and joy throughout her 32 years.
