Beware good Gentles for if thou hast been naughty, the Krampus might just come and haul you away! Join The Barony of Starkhafn in celebrating Yule with an outdoor German celebration. This is a chance to wear your warmest and finest garb, and celebrate the year with fire, festivities, and fun. Father Christmas will also make an appearance with gifts for our youngest members.FEAST:
Our German feast will include four courses:
First Course: Brotzeit Platter- filled with smoked meats, cheese, pretzels, mustards, etc.
Second Course: Linsensuppe (lentil soup), and Gurkensalat (cucumber salad)
Third Course: Gut Lembratten (roast beef), Kartoffelknodel (potato dumpling), and mushroom gravy
Fourth Course: Potluck dessert and People’s Choice contest. Bring something to share and submit your dessert for a populace choice prize.
In addition to the potluck dessert/contest, the barony will provide Gingerbread.
This Starkhafn Yule, it’s not just Father Christmas who’s making a list… Krampus is too.
Send a Krampus Gram to your friends, rivals, or that one person who’s been extra naughty this year. Each Gram comes with a note from Krampus himself, and depending on the tier, it may also include chocolate coal or a medieval-style talisman.

All Krampus Grams will be delivered at Starkhafn Yule 2025!
Orders are placed via the link but must be paid in person (at Yule, a monthly tournament, or a practice) before delivery.
The person who collects the most Krampus Grams will be dramatically “dragged out” of Yule by Krampus himself… for fun, of course.
Choose your level of mischief:
$1 – Barely Naughty (Naughty Note only, 1 vote)
$3 – Coal Collector (Naughty Note + Chocolate Coal, 4 votes)
$5 – Medieval Mayhem (Naughty Note + Coal + Talisman, 10 votes)
SCHEDULE:
2pm - Site Opens (Arts and Sciences Display is ongoing through the evening)
4pm-ish - Opening Court (or at Their Excellencies’ leisure)
6pm-ish - Feast Served
7pm-ish - Closing Court (or at Their Excellencies’ leisure)
8pm - Site Closes
EVENT REGISTRATION: Adult Event Registration $25, Adult Member Discount Event Registration $15, Children 17 years and under are guests of the Barony. Feast Registration: $10. Feast is limited to 180. You must pay in advance to reserve your seat for the feast. No feast registrations will be accepted after 12/6/25

Any food related allergy concerns or, if for any reason, an indoor seat is needed (indoor seating is very limited)

Show off your Art! Share Your Knowledge! A traditional display will take place during the event. Anything goes: finished or unfinished; documentation heavy or none at all. There will be a Populace Choice, Baronial Choice and Royal Choice with Prizes!
Largesse Derby and Sale: Looking to help contribute to both the Baronial Coffers and Their Excellencies Largesse Inventory? We are looking for artisans willing to donate multiples of items that will be sold at Yule as well as the Year End Tournament the next day! All funds raised will go towards the Baronial General Fund and any items not sold will be used by Their Excellencies for largesse.

The Bard of Starkhafn competition will take place during court. In keeping with the theme, submissions should be centered around German fairy tales.
Yule caroling will take place before the evening ends.
Looking for a spot to volunteer? We are in need of those willing to assist the kitchen crew in various capacities, as well as set-up and tear-down assistance. Please contact the Event Stewards at Yule!
