About this Event
Join us on a guided tour of the stars, constellations, and other celestial bodies.
We begin the tour with some background of how our ancestors viewed the sky and the various ideas behind what the stars meant to them. We then begin to look closer at some of the constellations either through a telescope or with binoculars. Lastly, we look at objects that are deeper in space that can only be seen through a telescope. Throughout the tour we may encounter satellites, meteors, and other planets in our solar system. The tour is held outside in public park. Please prepare for the elements. Chairs are provided as well as step stools. Restroom may require a drive or a short walk.
