Thankfully, your possibility of navigating to the Alaska Zoo on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 is much higher! Join us for Star Wars Da, an event being in partnership with members of the 501st Legion Alaskan Garrison and the Alaskan Droid Builders.
This is a great chance to get photos with member characters of the 501st Legion along with R2D2 constructed by the Alaskan Droid Builders. Get your Star Wars photo opps taken care of, just in time for posting on the worldwide "May the 4th be with you" day on Monday. Your photos will be “impressive, most impressive” - Darth Vader.
We will have trail signs with QR codes for scanning to learn fun Star Wars trivia and to make comparisons between Star Wars creatures and real-life species today.
We invite all visitors to dress up like Star Wars characters to add to the fun of the day. You can take your own picture or selfie in front of our Star Wars photo backdrop, too.
