About this Event
Weโll explore the rugged and dynamic Stanton Moor with views, moorland, woodland and old quarries - stopping at the Nine Ladies Stone Circle, the Trig point and Cork stone to do some sketching. No need to be pro, just a love for hiking, great chat, doodling and using your hands will do!
This is a very beginner friendly event, so don't worry if you're not feeling confident with your sketching or you want to learn - I'll be on hand to support you if you need it.
Date: Saturday 8th August 2026

Safety and your participation:
The core hope for my walks is that they are enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone so we will keep to a slow and steady pace. It's about taking in the views, learning about the area and being outdoors in nature. You are also responsible for your own health and safety and there can be risks with all outdoor activities. You'll be asked to complete a medical form a couple of days before the walk to let me know of any medical conditions prior to the day. Every participant is required to complete this before the event begins.
I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and Outdoor First Aid trained so will be on hand in case of an emergency.
Dogs:
No dogs on this event I'm afraid.
Cancellations and Weather:
This walk will be going ahead whatever the weather, unless I decide that the conditions will be dangerous. If I do have to cancel the walk for safety reasons, I will suggest one more date for the walk to be rearranged, if you are unable to make the alternative date, you will be offered a digital gift voucher for the value of your ticket to be redeemable against a future event of your choice with me.
Unfortunately, If you can no longer make the event after you have booked, I'm unable to offer refunds or swaps to alternative events.
