This 2 DAY training will teach you safety skills, sequencing, permit requirements, the business of SUP Yoga and SO SO much more!
Day 1 will be May 31st for 2.5 hours at Honest Haven Studio in Denver. This day we will cover the manual, SUP Supplies, equipment, basics of paddleboarding, business, and more.
Day 2: You will take a SUP Yoga Class led by Cassandra the owner and lead trainer of Honest Haven, practice sequencing on the water, safety drills, supplies on the water and how to use them, how to do water rescues, mounting and dismounting boards, teaching to beginners, and more!
- stand up paddle board (SUP) technique, handling, and maneuvering for the SUP beginner
- basic water safety, seamanship, and rescue procedures to ensure the safety of all
- how to develop and modify sequences that are SUP yoga-friendly and safe
- industry insight on the SUP yoga business including how to market and purchase products and equipment
- business of SUP Yoga in Colorado
- SUP Safety Certificate
ALL Participants must be able to swim, have a current valid/current CPR certification, and have a 200hr YTT certificate in progress/complete before signing up.
Participants are responsible for supplying their own board or acquiring a rental (we offer a few rental boards for an additional $20).
Participants are also responsible for entrance fees to the lake. Aurora Res is $10 to $12 depending on the day or you need an Aurora Res permit.
This YTT will give you 12 CEC with yoga alliance. This makes for a fun way to add to your offering and skills.
Day one is held in person for 2.5 hours at Honest Haven Yoga studio. Day 2 is held at Aurora Res, in the lower boat launch lot from 8am to 2pm ish. Please bring a towel, change of clothes, water, lunch, sunscreen, life jacket, board, and bug spray for our day on the water. We will provide anchor weights for you.
