About this Event
This 3-hour Stand-Up On The Spot workshop is designed to help comics break out of rigid writing habits and develop confidence through improv-inspired stand-up techniques. Participants will learn how to generate material spontaneously, rework old bits using group energy, and combine written and improvised content into live, responsive performance. Emphasis is placed on trusting instincts, thinking fast, and having fun — not being perfect.
Participants will learn about riffing, crowd work, and generating material on the spot to help them shift from a scripted mindset to spontaneous, improvisational stand-up.
The class requires at least one year of standup comedy or completion of either the Lincoln Lodge Fem Com or Standup Seminary course.
Instructor: Preston O'ffill
All students will receive an email no later than one day prior to their class start date confirming dates, times and location.
