About this Event

These roundtable discussions are designed to mutually inform, assess, and motivate community members to connect, share stories, and respond proactively to the issues we face collectively.

These gatherings are based on three pillars pivotal to a fully democratic society:

1) Human Rights, Saturday, Oct. 18, 11am-12:30pm

2) Civic Engagement, Saturday, Nov. 15, 11am-12:30pm

3) Intellectual Freedom, Saturday, Dec. 6, 11am-12:30pm

Join the conversation to dream, advocate, and foster collective action for a better world.

Following the three pillars, each session will cover a new topic:

5) Time: Who controls Time?, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, 11am-12:30pm

8) Lucid Dreaming: Whose dreams come true?, Saturday, May 16, 2026, 11am-12:30pm

9) Tragedy of the Commons: I hate it here., Saturday, June 13, 2026, 11am-12:30pm

10) Trust: How can we trust one another?, Saturday, July 25, 2026, 11am-12:30pm

11) Empathy: What does caring look like?, Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, 11am-12:30pm

12) ...and the Pursuit of Happiness?, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, 11am-12:30pm

Stand Up, Speak Out: Community Roundtables are facilitated by four local educators, artists, and concerned community members motivated by storytelling.
