About this Event
Stand-Up Comedy Workshop: Come practice and perform Stand-Up comedy in a comfortable-welcoming environment. Each performer will get 5-minutes to perform. If you want to tell an interesting story (or funny story, either is fine) instead, this a great opportunity to practice telling a story to an audience.
First timers are welcome and encouraged to come as well as people who have performed stand-up comedy before or currently.
We will teach some basics of stand-up/storytelling with an objective for everyone to perform a five-minute set/seven-minute set.
Each attendee is encouraged to perform however there is no pressure to perform. If you prefer to watch and get a vibe of the setting, that is okay.
Each attendee will get a chance to perform a five-minute set. We will help and encourage you on how to prepare a five-minute set during class time.
We will teach important basics of stand-up comedy, along with decades worth of pointers to put you ahead of the stand-up comedy game, introduction into nuances that took fifteen years to realize.
Also, this class is a great way to put you in an environment of likeminded people and a great change-up from your regular day-to-day life.
If you are the type of person to cancel, please wait until you are certain you will attend stand-up comedy class, to allow space for others.
If however, you do need to cancel, please do so ahead of time to allow others to have space.
