Course Overview
Master stand-up comedy by putting together a set and then performing it live at the Sydney Comedy School!
This course is extremely practical and you will be writing and performing for much of the day.
- You will develop a routine that uses our easy-to-learn joke structures and formulas.
- You will explore your inner comedian and style
- You will use a mic and gain on-stage skills
Best of all, you will be among like-minded people who are keen to explore comedy with you.
Everyone who enrolls in this course will be able to perform at our grad show the following Thursday (5 December 2024). Performing is optional - we won't force you unless you feel keen!
This class is taught by David Crisante, one of Australia's most prolific stand-up comedy teachers. He specialises in working with complete beginners, and has taught thousands of people across Australia in 2024 alone. His students have featured in every major Australian comedy festival.

➤ Set-structure: You will gain new skills in how to create a killer opening, how to construct a set, and techniques to segue from joke to joke.
➤ Stage presence: You will learn techniques that will ensure you have enhanced charisma and comedic flair onstage.
➤ Joke writing: You will create a large array of jokes and weave them together to create a set that is overflowing with humour.
