DJ, producer, label boss, mother and techno bright star Amelie Lens has enlivened the scene with sets defined by incredibly finessed energy and fierce prowess. A decade after a famed debut at Labyrinth Belgium and many sets artfully launched, Lens is busy running labels Lenske & EXHALE Records, leading the party series EXHALE and hosting her radio show. Lens regularly headlines festivals, including Awakenings, Sonar, and Timewarp and plays more shows at revered clubs than most people work days of the week, these establishments including Rex, Mondo Disko, fabric, and Printworks. Despite the heavy calibre of techno that defines Lens, she recently brought her 85-year-old Grandmother on stage at Pukkelpop. A pleasant reminder that we should all be more like Amelie Lens.
